Join with us on our adventure as we build East Alstead's first brewery and what is quite possibly the only off-grid commercial brewery in the United States. We feel that what we brew and how we brew it are equally important. If you would like to help out with this project, contact me at: tim@belgianmare.com.

Siding

We continue to hope and hurry.  Recently we purchased about 2/3 of the siding and have been painting away with a view to getting the exterior done this fall.  We are getting soo close!

  1. Hi! I will be looking forward to visit your page again and for your other posts as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about siding in your area. I am glad to stop by your site and know more about siding. Keep it up! This is a good read. You have such an interesting and informative page.
Vertical siding may have a cover over the joint: board and batten, popular in American wooden Carpenter Gothic houses; or less commonly behind the joint — batten and board.
The professionals at Budget Exterior will walk you through each of your roofing options. This includes, asphalt, rubber and natural slate. Our recommendation will be based on your current roof, installation, longevity, maintenance and finally cost to you. Each option has an array of benefits.

  2. I like the color you chose for the siding. It’s not too bright and not too dull, which is perfect for the brewery. I trust that by now, you’re close to finishing, if not already done with the sidings. For me, sidings are very crucial because it represents the house holistically. Not only that, several structures are attached near the sidings; installing them poorly can produce a domino effect.
